24th April 2000
Hi all,
Ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to keep you in touch with what Neil Taylor has been up to during his visit to Scotland. Much along the same lines I'm afraid...
Tuesday 25th April 2000:
Call Lorraine on her mobile to let her and Neil know that I was leaving work (unexpectedly) on time. Lorraine says not to hurry home as Neil has driven them to the back of beyond. I ask, "Where are you?" at about the same point that I hear Neil laugh and shriek, "Dumfries and Galloway?!" It takes Neil a further two and a half hours to make it back to my home after his premature flirtation with the English border.
Tuesday 25th April 2000 (late):
Get back from ten-pin bowling. Continuing his luck with motorised transport Neil steps backwards out of the car and falls (rear-end first) onto my next-door neighbour's driveway. Lucky they're away on holiday!!!
Thursday 27th April 2000 (late):
Enjoying a social drink at the Strathclyde Park Inn Lorraine gets a notion for chips and curry sauce... and something else. She decides to share the idea with Neil. "Do you like Pakora?", she asks. Neil, obviously confusing chicken with fried potatoes asks, "Is that like chips?"
Don't worry - Neil will get his say shortly!
CONGRATULATIONS TO the group who have organised a means to test if your left-hand mouse button works correctly. Surf to http://www.lciweb.co.uk/games/kamikazi/kamikazi.html* to check it out.
NO CONGRATULATIONS TO the Tax office in Dublin who kept list member Chris Ranson on hold for 25 mintes whilst they tried to find their own address! This after they had sent a form out to Chris addressed to Thomas Lynch despite Chris spelling his name out to them no less than four times. It's funny how thay can be so efficient at taking money away from you though isn't it?
Have a good week!
Tony
*UPDATE: Unfortunately Kamikaze Teriyaki can no longer be found at this address. If we find it anywhere else we will update the bookmark.
