Hi all,
From the land where the weather seems to get worse as the year progresses... my weekly ramblings.
Well up to my elbows in ironing, manic coursework, fanzine editing, six-a-side mailshots and countless other things ("How many messages are on my answerphone now???!!!") I've hardly had time to notice anything bizarre happening.
Therefore here are a list of things I've discovered floating in the boot of my car:
10) Some old McDonalds napkins (hey, they're always handy things to have around!).
9) A recently emptied Lucozade bottle.
8) A pen (unfortunately not my Palace rollerball, which must be floating elsewhere!).
7) A retractable pencil (one of 10,000 I seem to own).
6) The "Top Gun" soundtrack.
5) A blank tape.
4) Another blank tape with the tape itself all tangled around... well, just about the entire boot.
3) Lorraine's beach towel (now washed and ready for whatever summer we might receive up here!).
2) A video of "Braveheart" (yeah, right!).
1) The case from Neil Taylor's Nolan's Greatest Hits tape (sorry, did you want that back?!).
Incidentally for anyone intending to be in Law a week tomorrow purely to receive a dose of my legendary pancakes please note that I will not be able to cook any pancakes this year as I'm suffering from RSI. (Hmm, I somehow don't think that will pass for a sicknote!!!)
CONGRATULATIONS TO the Greek division of a major international company who decided to see how their staff would react to a coach they were travelling on being hijacked. Unfortunately passers-by with mobile phones were able to alert the police who obviously ended the hijack. Maybe the whole thing wouldn't be so bad if the company involved wasn't Ericsson!
NO CONGRATULATIONS TO the German blackmailer who sent off a whole series of blackmailing letters... including the return address should the letters not be delivered. Surely this is the definition of "What goes around, comes around".
Have a good week!
Tony
